Hey hey! The EBO Center is looking for volunteers to assist with tax filing for the 2023 tax season.

Do you have a facility with administrative tasks?

Do you enjoy being of service by doing for others what they can’t do for themselves?

Do you have personal tax filing experience?

Join the dynamic and growing EBO team for the 2023 tax season (February to April)!

During this time, you are free to volunteer according to your capacity and interests.

We are looking for volunteers for the following roles:

  • Intake Volunteers: contact clients to gather information to file their tax returns
  • Tax Filer Volunteers: file simple personal income tax returns using the software provided (Profile)
  • Multi-task volunteers: collect information from clients and file their tax returns

If you are interested in working with us to help people in vulnerable situations file their taxes for free, please contact:

Stephanie, Tax Service Coordinator in Ottawa: 613-746-0400 or smeunier@centre-ebo.com

or Ange, Eastern Tax Service Coordinator: 613-746-0400 or acningabiye@centre-ebo.com

Deadline: February 13

All volunteers will receive training on how the tax service works and how to use the software. Familiarity with personal income tax is an asset.
